Before Zive, our founder Rajesh Gopi sat on both sides of the table: allocating to funds and operating them. From either seat, the same thing was true. Every quarter, smart people spent weeks reconstructing numbers that a properly built system would simply have. LPs waited on statements. GPs signed reports assembled under deadline from spreadsheets. Administrators billed for the hours it took to hold it all together.
The software everyone used recorded what had happened. It never checked whether what happened was right. Fund terms lived in PDFs, firm policies lived in people's heads, and the enforcement layer of the entire private capital industry was, in practice, a person with a spreadsheet and good intentions.
Zive was founded to build the missing piece: a platform that holds the fund's terms, its books, and its processes in one system, and runs the work with those rules applied automatically. Backed early by a fund of funds and a family office who knew the problem firsthand, we built it with real funds, real LPs, and real quarters on the line from day one. Today, firms trust that platform with billions in assets, and every firm that ever joined is still here.
